Ingredients
  

Meatball Mixture

  • 1 lb ground beef or beef and pork mix
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for drizzling

Instructions
 

  • Soften the breadcrumbs: In a large bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let them soak for 1–2 minutes until soft.
  • Add remaining ingredients: Add the ground meat, egg, parmesan cheese, garlic, onion, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix until just combined.
  • Shape the meatballs: Roll the mixture into evenly sized meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Drizzle with olive oil: Lightly drizzle olive oil over the meatballs to help them brown in the oven.
  • Bake the meatballs: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 18–22 minutes, until cooked through and lightly golden.
  • Rest and serve: Let the meatballs rest for 5 minutes before serving so the juices redistribute.
