Ingredients
  

Fudge Truffle Base

  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chopped
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/3 cup thick caramel sauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Coating and Topping

  • cocoa powder or melted chocolate optional, for coating

Instructions
 

  • Melt the chocolate: Gently melt the chopped semi-sweet chocolate using a microwave in short intervals or a double boiler, stirring until smooth and glossy.
  • Add the condensed milk: Stir the sweetened condensed milk into the melted chocolate until fully combined and thick.
  • Swirl in the caramel: Add the caramel sauce and vanilla extract, gently mixing until just combined with visible caramel swirls.
  • Chill the mixture: Cover and refrigerate the mixture for 1–2 hours, or until firm enough to scoop.
  • Roll the truffles: Scoop small portions and roll into smooth balls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Finish with salt: Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top, or roll the truffles in cocoa powder or dip in melted chocolate if desired.
