Ingredients
  

Chai Base

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 4 cardamom pods lightly crushed
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 2 cups milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1–2 tbsp honey or sugar to taste

Instructions
 

  • Step 1 – Simmer spices: Add water, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, and ginger to a saucepan. Simmer gently for 8–10 minutes until fragrant.
  • Step 2 – Steep tea: Add black tea bags to the spiced water and steep for 3–4 minutes.
  • Step 3 – Add milk: Pour in the milk and warm gently without boiling.
  • Step 4 – Sweeten: Add honey or sugar to taste and stir well.
  • Step 5 – Strain: Strain the chai tea latte into mugs, removing spices and tea bags.
  • Step 6 – Serve: Serve hot and enjoy slowly.
