Instructions

  • Prep aromatics and toppings: Mince the garlic and ginger, slice mushrooms, chop green onions, and prepare soft-boiled eggs. Having everything ready makes the cooking calm and easy.
  • Sauté garlic and ginger: Heat butter or oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant—this small step fills the kitchen with comfort and warmth.
  • Build the broth: Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Stir and let the broth come to a gentle simmer so flavors deepen and become soothing.
  • Add mushrooms and spinach: Add sliced mushrooms and baby spinach to the pot and let them soften. These veggies add texture and a fresh, earthy balance to the rich broth.
  • Cook the noodles: Add the ramen noodles to the simmering broth and cook according to package directions until tender. The noodles soak up the warm flavors and make the bowl feel complete.
  • Add protein: Stir in cooked chicken or tofu to warm through. This makes the ramen hearty and satisfying—perfect for a full meal in a bowl.
  • Adjust heat and seasoning: If you want spice, stir in chili paste a little at a time. Taste the broth and add salt or pepper as needed. A tiny adjustment can make the bowl feel just right.
  • Serve and garnish: Ladle the ramen into bowls. Top each bowl with a halved soft-boiled egg, chopped green onion, and a few drops of sesame oil if desired. Enjoy the warm, comforting bowl immediately.
