Bread Batter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat and prepare the pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a standard loaf pan and set aside.
Cream butter and honey: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until smooth, then slowly mix in the honey until creamy and well combined.
Add eggs: Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Mix the batter: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
Fold in pecans: Gently fold in the chopped pecans, making sure they are evenly distributed.
Bake the bread: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool and serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
