Patty Melt Pizza
I make this patty melt pizza when I'm craving something cheesy, beefy, and deeply comforting.
It brings together everything I love about a classic patty melt and a crispy homemade pizza.
Every slice feels indulgent, satisfying, and perfect for cozy nights in.

Pizza Base
- 1 pizza dough store-bought or homemade
Toppings
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1 cup onions thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese Swiss, mozzarella, or a blend
- 1/3 cup burger-style sauce or special sauce
- to taste salt and pepper
Preheat the oven: I preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a baking sheet or pizza stone.
Cook the beef: In a skillet, I cook the ground beef over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper until browned, then set it aside.
Caramelize the onions: In the same skillet, I slowly cook the onions until soft and golden, bringing out their natural sweetness.
Prepare the crust: I roll out the pizza dough and place it on the prepared baking surface.
Assemble the pizza: I spread the sauce over the dough, then evenly layer the beef, caramelized onions, and shredded cheese.
Bake the pizza: I bake the patty melt pizza for 15–18 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is fully melted.
Rest and slice: I let the pizza rest for a few minutes before slicing so everything holds together nicely.
